Community Foraging Walk Friday 11th April

£4.00£12.50

Welcome to The Hungry Herbivores Community Foraging Walk series… Each month, I am hosting a casual walk in the city, sharing my knowledge on edible and medical plants that grow all around us. As the seasons change, we are invited to explore more of natures gifts.

What is a Community Walk?
Foraging walks can often be pricey, which makes the experience feel exclusive. I want to make foraging more inclusive.
The project goal is to invite people from all walks of life to reconnect with nature, especially in the city where plants can feel distant. By sharing this knowledge, I hope to foster a more conscious and appreciative community.

To keep the walks accessible, I offer two pricing options: a regular, affordable rate and a subsidized rate for those facing financial hardship. If you’re considering the subsidized low-income ticket, make you own honest judgment about your financial situation. No questions asked, no judgment passed.

Walk Details:

  • Location: Milton/Eastney area
  • Time/Duration: 2pm/Approximately 1 hour
  • Focus: Identifying edible and medicinal plants, with an emphasis on education so you can go on your own foraging adventures later.
  • Route: Uneven ground, so please be mindful of your mobility when booking.

This is not just about foraging; it’s about immersing yourself in nature and gaining a deeper understanding of the plants around us. Whether you’re looking to learn about wild foods and plant medicine, feel community spirit or simply be inspired to spend more time outdoors, this walk will offer something for you.
